Chapter 5 - July 26

"I am sorry about your wife, Mr Michael. We have done everything we can and the cancer is in very developed stage". "How long does she have?" asked Mic and he was given "Just a matter of hours" as the answer. Michael consoled himself and left for his duty, that was an important day as there was an encounter planned for David Jones who was a big drug dealer.

"Cover all the entrances in the building and i do not want Jones escape this time, I repeat I do not want Jones to escape". It was 10 o clock and all the SWAT teams were in place and were ready to go, they were waiting for Mic's call. There was a sudden shot heard from the west part of the building and the cops were given a clear clue that their arrival was known but not welcomed by Jones.

The shootout went on for another hour before Jones was taken into custody but with a gun shot in his knee. He took the fugitive to the Medical care center near as the injury needed immediate attention. "Get the chief here, he needs to be attended now!!!" shouted Mic and they were at Los Angeles Care which was just a couple of blocks from the scene.

"Take care of Jones and I ll be back" said Michael and he went to see his wife. The chief doctor did a fine job on Jones and he was given a pain killer. The second he left the room, there was a blast in the corridor and 6 masked men appeared with the guns. The cops were taken back and taken down by this surprise rescue mission.

Mic heard the sound and ran towards the room, but he was too late. Jones was out and they were holding a women as hostage. "One step forward and you will see the death of this woman" shouted a guy. Michael went back but after escaping, afraid that she might have heard anything heard, the woman was shot cold blood and they escaped in a chopper.

Mic ran towards the woman and yelled "Do not worry, hang in and you ll come through this". "I dont think, I am gonna" said the woman and she died. Michael took his walkie and started giving the instructions to his men and left the place. Just when Mic was out of sight, a couple of cops ran in with the chief doctor to see a guy who was also a doctor sobbing near the dead body. one of the officers said "Mr Robert, you are under arrest for the death of your wife, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say will and can be used against you"
