KKR - Down but not Dead !!!

Two editions of Indian Premier League has passed us and the third is set to start in India from March 12. Kolkata Knight Riders has an impressive squad Akhtar, Gayle, Mendis, Ponting, McCullum and the skipper Sourav made the outfit look formidable. but this team faced absolutely nothing but defeats in the 1st 2 editions.

IPL 3

Back in India, IPL 3 kicks off form mid march and the KKR squad was the first team to start the practise. Wasim Akram was brought from Pakistan to give special insights and expert opinions on team's performance and the new coach Dav Whatmore have made the camp positive and are jelling with the team well.

Bond in, Ponting out

"KKR Bonds with Pace" read the newspapers after the IPL 3 auction was over. The Kiwi pacer was bought for a huge sum of money to share the new ball with Ishant Sharma. KKR also terminated its contract with the Aussie skipper who has announced that he wont be available for IPL 3 so as to make room for an extra player.

Bengal Tiger returns to the Rightful Throne

SRK re instates Saurav as KKR's skipper and there was no one better for such a job and such a situation in the whole country. Saurav took our national side form no where to beating the top teams in the world consistently and this situation is tailor made for him to show the world that he still is one of the best captains India has ever had.

Will KKR break the Jinx???

With the new captain, new coach, addition of one of the world's fastest bowlers and the biggest factor of being able to play in front of the home crowd rejuvenate the riders and make the other teams look ridiculously short in talent???

Waiting to see The Knight Riders rise from the ashes and take a successful ride through the nation. Even though I am near Chennai, I ll always " CHEER FOR KOLKATA, BE A KNIGHT RIDER "
