Walking tall

So I am a 6 footer and in this community, I am an outsider by physical appearance and ya I am talking about the growth of mine in the vertical axis. Everyone thinks being tall is a gift and I am in no place to oppose because it really is good to be tall, but let me clear the air about how life spans out for a tall person.

You get easily noticed in the entire crowd no matter how large it is and this insecure feeling creeps into your heart that everyone is watching you and suddenly you feel shy for absolutely no matter. No matter how good, how charming or how interesting you are, the first thing you will get noticed for, is your height.

Everyone will start judging you as if they know, this is what your height is capable and let me quote the repeated thing i endure right from my birth till even now, "when i say people i am into sports, they obviously guess its Basketball, come on.... cut me some slack. I dont even know the rules of Basketball for heaven's sakes. Like, Am not fit to play soccer or Rugby? (I don't know the rules of these games too...but still !!!) "

Then, coming to the girls you get to go out with, most of the girls ignore due to the fact that they have to stretch and stand on their toes to get kisses. So you can date girls like Sharapova, Deepika Padukone or Anushka or your dating life is over because I don't know if these girls are a easy catch ;)

Then the physical appearance is very critical. You are fleshy, then you will look like Undertaker and before you know, you will be in a Vijay starrer acting as a villian and the worst part is you get to hear the punch dialogues from Vijay, till the damn idiot gets it right. On the other hand if you skinny (like me), you will be given a couple of iron rods to hold and you will be the receiving antenna for your college :)

So, finally the thing is this....We are tall, we aint strange...Stop judging us...If this aint stopping you, then I just got two words for you...!!!!

You know what those words are ;) :P

What if no Girls?!?!

Achilles was fighting his heart out against Hector for claiming Helen(courtesy: Troy) and there were many battles fought over women and the latest I witnessed was between 2 one year olds to get the right to give the rubber vacha pencil to their "still not even able to walk" hot girl friend.

Although this is the situation now, life without them will not be so great either. So lets see what actually happens if girls cease to exit...

1. I will stop going to college(obviously)

2. Gowthaman will stop his over used english phrase "machi, I have a crush on..."

3. Mithun will resign his job of "taking care of the pump house" in the weekends.

4. There wont be "warriors" fighting it out over blogs.

5. Fazil will stop getting busted.

6. Guys' interest in bikes will reduce due to which Bajaj will stop all its plans for Pulsar 136,137,138 cc in the future.

7. Facebook will be rated as the least used website.

8. IPL will be a big flop.

9. Shoaib Malik wont be able to grab the those two biiiiig........ "eyes" of Sania Mirza :P

10. Recession!!!!

11. Goutam Menon will have no heroines to kill in his movies.

12. Dhoni and Yuvi will finally become friends.

Ps. Although we are more than happy to see chicks like in the picture above live among us :D ;)

C for Sarcasm

I have been a huge fan of Sarcasm all through my life and two names, to be precise two characters that come up in my mind when I hear this word are Charlie Harper and Chandler Bing. They are the best at the business when it comes to responding to a person with a sarcastic yet funny(for them obviously) comment.

Charlie Harper(Played by Charlie Sheen) is the lead character in the hit sitcom "Two and A half Men" and although I have been through only one season, is all but awe for the guy. This guy is full of nonchalant comments and they are really fun. I am personally a big fan of Sheen after his good shows in the spoofs Hot Shots 1 & 2. Its really hard to make a comment that is enjoyable by everyone and this one makes it with absolute ease.

Now coming to the big one...My personal favourite and indomitable Chandler Bing and the name says it all. If Sarcasm is a religion, he surely is its god. In his venture as Chandler in the smash hit sitcom Friends, Matt Perry won many a hearts and the guy is simply amazing. There are just too many famous dialogues and they are equally good. I miss Friends just because of Chandler.
Body Language, timing, teen jokes, dance and you name anything and this guy has it all. He is just the best when it comes to being sarcastic. His movies with Bruce Willis weren't bad
too.

Looking forward to many more fun moments with the 2 "C"s :)

Fazil Busted on his Birthday

Where do I start??? Hmm..Here it goes

The final plan was finalised just seconds before the clock hit 00:00 hrs on 4th jan. The plan was panned out for the entire day with traps set for Fazil the entire day and guess what, He fell for every trap we set and i was extra happy because I got to see his way of "finding the clues" very near.

The Plan:
Organize a Treasure Hunt as if hosted by girls and see how he reacts when we said his destiny is waiting in the pump house with the birthday gift.

Cast:

Shriram, Mithun, Surya, Gowthaman, Ganesh, Zeeshan, Rajesh, Shobana, Virasundari and Sitalakshmi(Guest Appearance)

The Show:

So it began by morning by 7 30 and he was sent the rules. The game began with the 1st clue by 9 and it went well till the last one and he "successfully" completed the entire task. He was supposed to meet his "destiny" by 4 30 to get his gift, when he came with all the hopes of meeting the girl of his dream, came out were 7 guys and Fazil was in total shock. Finally everything fell in places for him and he finally figured that the whole thing was done by 6 of his best friends(guys). Birthday cake was cut and the gift was given.

Fazil's Classic Comedies:
  • Not telling Mithun that "girls" have planned a thing for him when he met morning.
  • Thinking Gowthaman is the answer for every question.
  • Not remembering anything about what guys said in the past.
  • Thinking once that he is the answer.
  • Trying to escape after being caught red handed.

P.S. We made him to roam the entire street looking for us by calling him up in conference call and telling we are standing outside with the cake.
